By accessing or using Kiwanis Legacy Forge ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Platform.

2. Eligibility

You must meet the following requirements to use the Platform:

• Be at least 18 years of age
• Be a member or supporter of Kiwanis International or its related programs
• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Maintain the security of your account credentials

3. User Accounts

3.1 Account Creation

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and password. You agree to accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account.

3.2 Account Roles

The Platform has three user roles:

• Basic: Can log and view their own volunteer activities
• Trained: Can verify volunteer activities for their club
• Certified: Full administrative privileges

4. Volunteer Activity Logging

4.1 Accuracy

You agree to provide accurate and truthful information when logging volunteer activities. Misrepresentation of volunteer hours or activities may result in account suspension or termination.

4.2 Verification

All volunteer activities are subject to verification by trained or certified club leaders. Activities may be approved, rejected, or require additional documentation.

4.3 Content Standards

When submitting activity descriptions and photos, you must not:

• Include identifiable images of children without proper consent
• Post inappropriate, offensive, or harmful content
• Violate any copyright or intellectual property rights
• Include personal information of minors

5. Blockchain Credentials

5.1 Opt-In Feature

Blockchain credential minting is an optional feature. By connecting a blockchain wallet, you consent to having your verified volunteer hours recorded on the Polygon blockchain.

5.2 Immutability

Blockchain credentials are permanent and cannot be deleted once minted. While credentials do not contain personally identifiable information, they are publicly verifiable.

5.3 Wallet Security

You are solely responsible for maintaining the security of your blockchain wallet. We are not responsible for any loss of access to your wallet or credentials.

6. Gamification and Rewards

The Platform includes gamification features such as points, badges, levels, and achievements. These features:

• Have no monetary value
• Cannot be transferred or sold
• May be modified or discontinued at any time
• Are for recognition and motivation purposes only

7. Social Features and Conduct

7.1 Guilds and Communities

Users may create or join guilds to connect with other volunteers. Guild creators are responsible for moderating their communities.

7.2 Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Harass, threaten, or abuse other users
• Post spam or unsolicited promotional content
• Impersonate others or create fake accounts
• Attempt to hack, disrupt, or compromise platform security
• Use the Platform for any illegal activities

8. Intellectual Property

8.1 Platform Content

All Platform features, design, code, and branding are owned by Kiwanis Legacy Forge or its licensors and are protected by copyright and trademark laws.

8.2 User Content

You retain ownership of content you submit. By posting content, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your content for platform operation and improvement.

9. Safety and Child Protection

Kiwanis Legacy Forge is committed to child safety. Users engaging in activities involving children must:

• Complete required safety training
• Pass background checks as required by Kiwanis International
• Follow all safety practices and protocols
• Report any concerns about child safety immediately

10. Disclaimers

THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE:

• Uninterrupted or error-free operation
• Accuracy or completeness of information
• Security of data transmission
• Availability of blockchain features

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Platform.

12. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for:

• Violation of these Terms
• Fraudulent activity logging
• Abusive or harmful behavior
• Extended account inactivity

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. We will notify users of significant changes.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state where Kiwanis International is incorporated, without regard to conflict of law principles.
